JOB SUMMARY:          

Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties. Provides Engineering Support for Product Quotes and Orders, Product Manufacturing, and Product Development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide Engineering support for Quote Requests and Purchase Orders.
• Provide product technical support to Sales.
• Develop and maintain documentation/drawings for production (Special Engineering Instructions, drawings, Manufacturing Specifications, etc.)
• Develop documentation, utilizing existing product design information where available, for Client approval and certified drawings.
• Provide technical expertise for product improvements i.e. manufacturing efficiency, cost reductions and/or increased value to the Client.
• Provide technical expertise and/or Project Management for production tooling design and production equipment support i.e. (CEA’s, modification or repair, new equipment)
• Develop product knowledge and expertise in applications for specifically assigned product lines.
• Complete written technical evaluations and recommendations for Returned Material Tickets utilizing root cause analysis.
• Check drawings done by self or others for technical accuracy, continuity, errors, spelling, grammar, etc.
• Apply as needed general engineering knowledge – static/dynamic mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, properties of materials, numerical analysis, testing procedures, etc.
• Complete document control forms such as ECN’s to maintain document control per ISO manual.
• Process documents (ECN’s, drawings, Manufacturing Standards, Special Engineering Instructions, etc) in AutoEDMS.
• Create other engineering documents using Microsoft Excel, Word or Project as required.
• Interface with other departments and locations (Europe, Mexico, India, etc.) on engineering issues.  Some complicated projects are a joint effort between OK and other locations.
• Must be able to work on multiple projects in a given time frame.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• BS Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Experience
• 2 years manufacturing experience
• AutoCAD Mechanical 2007, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Microsoft Project
